Powells City of Books - A book lover's paradise, the largest used and new bookstore in the world. Located in downtown Portland, and occupying an entire city block, the City stocks more than a million new and used books. Nine color coded rooms house over 3,500 different sections, offering something for every interest, including an incredible selection of out-of-print and hard-to-find titles. Saturday Market - The mission of the Portland Saturday Market is to provide an environment that encourages the economic and artistic growth of emerging and accomplished artisans. Central to this mission shall be to operate a marketplace. That marketplace, and other market programs, shall honor craftsmanship, design innovation, marketing ethics, and authenticity of product.

Lloyd Center -  Forgot something? One of the largest shopping centers in Oregon, and it’s across the street, just north of the Doubletree hotel. Over 100 stores, of nearly every type and price, a large food court–plus an ice skating rink! What more could you want?

Waterfront Park - Next to the Willamette River in downtown, the waterfront is a lively public space that is also an integral part of life in downtown Portland.

Oregon Brewers Festival - Pouring more than 80 different craft beers from around the country, the Oregon Brewers Festival is the quintessential celebration of craft beer! On a sun soaked July afternoon, there's no better place to sip suds with friends along the banks of the Willamette River, with the Portland skyline as a backdrop to the west and Mt. Hood towering in the east.
